Established in 1936, Girton Golf Club is a members club sitting just outside Cambridge in the village of Girton. We have a great 18 hole course that, whilst tight, remains interesting and challenging throughout, ending with one of the longest par 5s in the county. High handicappers can enjoy the Girton course while scratch players still find it a real challenge. We play many team games against other clubs, at all levels including ladies, men, junior and mixed matches as well as an extensive range of internal competitions with all majors being played at weekends for men and ladies.
There are around 600 playing and 270 social members at Girton with a number of different categories of membership from Full 7 day to Associate and we have strong Ladies and Junior sections. The social aspect of our club is strong with many events of all natures during the year featuring Quiz nights, BBQs, Music and Comedy and themed food evenings with Indian (Punjabi Party), Chinese, Italian and many more.
Girton is known as a friendly club with a number of both weekday and weekend roll ups for members of all ages including our very active senior section. Members can just turn up and play with these groups, whilst tee times bookable through an app, on line or by ‘phone call enable specific groups to play when they want, with whoever they choose.
Our Head Professional is Alan Fletcher and his team of experienced PGA qualified Golf Professionals offer a number of different options on lessons for individuals and groups on our practice field, course or in our indoor swing studios. Alan also runs a very well stocked golf shop on site with exceptionally competitive pricing and fitting
